Terms of Service

Plain language, no traps. The short version: scope lives in your proposal, you own what you pay for, and you can cancel ongoing work with 30 days' notice.

Who we are & what these terms cover

These terms govern your use of this website and, unless a signed agreement says otherwise, engagements with The Move Marketing Team ("we", "us"). A signed proposal or services agreement always takes precedence over these terms where the two differ.

Our services

We provide marketing and engineering services for businesses, including custom website and web-application builds, CRM and automation architecture, AI-assisted lead nurturing, and multi-channel marketing campaigns. The specific scope, deliverables, timeline, and fees for an engagement are defined in its proposal.

Proposals, fees & payment

Fees, billing schedules, and payment methods are set out in each proposal before work begins. Invoices are due as stated on the invoice. Work may be paused on accounts with overdue balances after written notice. Third-party costs (such as advertising spend, software subscriptions, or domain registrations) are billed at cost and are the client's responsibility unless a proposal says otherwise.

Refunds & cancellations

Ongoing services: you may cancel any ongoing service with 30 days' written notice; you pay for work performed through the end of the notice period, and no further. Project work: amounts paid for custom build work are refundable in full before work begins; once work is underway, fees for completed milestones are earned and non-refundable, and any prepaid amounts for milestones not yet started will be refunded. If we fail to deliver something we agreed to deliver, we will either make it right or refund the unfulfilled portion — whichever you prefer. Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 10 business days of agreement.

Client responsibilities

Timely access, approvals, and accurate information keep projects on schedule. You are responsible for the truthfulness of claims made in your own marketing content and for having the rights to materials you supply to us (logos, images, copy, data).

Ownership & intellectual property

Upon full payment, you own the deliverables we build for you — code, creative, accounts, and data — except for our pre-existing tools and know-how, which we license to you for use with your deliverables. We may reference completed work in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.

Confidentiality

Each side keeps the other's non-public business information confidential and uses it only for the engagement. This obligation survives the end of an engagement.

Third-party platforms

Some services rely on third-party platforms (hosting, CRM systems, advertising networks, AI providers). Those platforms have their own terms and availability, which we don't control. We select and configure them with care, but we are not liable for their outages, policy changes, or pricing changes.

No guarantees of specific results

Marketing outcomes depend on factors beyond any vendor's control — market conditions, offer strength, competition, budget. We commit to disciplined, professional work measured against the goals in your proposal; we do not guarantee specific revenue, ranking, or lead-volume outcomes, and nothing on this site is a promise of specific results. Illustrative numbers (such as the hero dashboard preview and the growth calculator) are models, not commitments.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of an engagement is limited to the fees you paid us for that engagement in the six months before the claim arose, and neither side is liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Disputes

Talk to us first — most issues are resolved in a call. Failing that, disputes are governed by the laws of the state where The Move Marketing Team is organized, and the courts of that state have exclusive jurisdiction.

Contact & changes

Questions about these terms? Reach us through the contact form on the homepage. If these terms change, the update is published on this page with a new effective date; changes apply going forward, not retroactively.
